Assetto Corsa Rally Wishlist now on Steam

A new challenge begins for the Assetto Corsa series.
Developed by Supernova Games Studios in technical partnership with KUNOS Simulazioni and published by 505 Games, Assetto Corsa Rally brings the acclaimed simulation DNA of Assetto Corsa to one of motorsport’s most demanding and spectacular disciplines: rally.

Rally, the Assetto Corsa way

Assetto Corsa Rally is a pure and relentless rally simulation, built to capture the sport’s raw intensity and precision.
Every detail, from how tires bite into gravel to the rhythm of the co-driver’s pacenotes, is designed to reflect the true spirit of rallying, where control, focus, and adaptability define every stage.
Powered by an adapted version of Assetto Corsa’s acclaimed physics engine, the simulation models jumps, uneven terrain, and variable grip across tarmac and gravel with uncompromising fidelity.
Each race unfolds in a dynamic environment, where day-night cycles and shifting weather affect traction, visibility, and car behavior, making every second count.
Developed by an international team of industry veterans with previous experiences in DiRT Rally, WRC, and Project CARS, Assetto Corsa Rally combines cutting-edge technology with deep mechanical realism.
Each car and stage is recreated using laser-scan technology, ensuring that terrain irregularities, surface textures, and environmental details are faithfully reproduced.
To meet the specific needs of a racing simulator, the team has also customized Unreal Engine 5, achieving high visual fidelity, stable performance, and an authentic sense of speed and depth.

At the start of Early Access, Assetto Corsa Rally will feature:
  • 10 officially licensed cars, from rally legends such as the Lancia Stratos Gr.4 (1976) and Fiat 131 Abarth Gr.4 (1976) to modern challengers like the Hyundai i20N Rally2 (2021) and Peugeot 208 Rally4 (2020).
  • 4 Special Stages, totaling over 20 miles (33 km) of fully laser-scanned roads: Rally Alsace offers fast asphalt runs through vineyards and mountain villages, while Rally Wales features technical gravel routes through forests and rolling hills.
  • During Early Access, content will expand to include five full international rallies, over 120 km of roads, and more than 30 cars, along with Career Mode, Rally School, and VR support.
  • Sound plays a vital role in immersion. Every car’s engine, transmission, and tire noise has been recorded from real vehicles, both inside and outside the cockpit.
  • The co-driver pacenote system, developed in collaboration with professional co-drivers, features authentic voices and timing for maximum realism.
  • Ambient soundscapes, from gravel and wind to crowd reactions and weather transitions, complete an environment that feels alive and reactive.
From Supernova Games Studios and KUNOS Simulazioni

Feeling the lack of a modern rally simulator, we’ve built a team and developed a technology to create one ourselves, with the support of drivers, engineers, collectors, mechanics, and industry experts” said Mauro Notarberardino, Studio Director at Supernova Games Studios. “A special thanks goes to Kunos Simulazioni, whose partnership was crucial in maintaining the signature feel of the series — especially in terms of the driving model — in this new chapter.

A rally version of Assetto Corsa, when? That’s one of the questions I’ve received most over the years” added Marco Massarutto, Co-founder of Kunos Simulazioni and Executive Manager for the franchise. “Now we can finally give an answer. Rallying allows us to push the boundaries of simulation physics even further — offering a pure, uncompromising driving experience that fans have been waiting for.

FAQ – Assetto Corsa Rally
Will AC Rally come to console?

At the moment we’re focused on our launch on Steam. Console versions will be discussed at a later stage.

Which kind/level of collaboration was offered by KUNOS Simulazioni to Supernova during development?

While KUNOS Simulazioni (currently focused on Assetto Corsa EVO) is not directly involved in development, the Supernova team did have access to technological support to leverage the advanced Assetto Corsa physics engine and received support from KUNOS on overall driving and simulation feedback and the licensing process with car manufacturers.

Will Assetto Corsa Rally support VR?

Yes, AC Rally will support VR, but not at Early Access launch. VR support will be added during the Early Access phase.

How long will the Early Access program with AC Rally last?

We’re aiming to have the full 1.0 release ready within 12–18 months (depending on community feedback) from the start of Early Access. We believe this timeframe strikes the right balance between gathering crucial community feedback and delivering a polished, complete experience. Of course, game development is a dynamic process, and we’ll keep you informed every step of the way if any adjustments to the timeline become necessary.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

The full version of Assetto Corsa Rally is planned to be a significantly richer and more polished experience than the Early Access version. We envision expanding the game in several key areas, including the addition of 3D laser-scanned stages and cars, professional co-driver support, a variety of game modes, full VR support, and a dedicated rally school. As Early Access progresses, we will continue to improve the game experience, focusing on performance and stability.

When will Early Access start?

Assetto Corsa Rally will be available in Early Access on Steam starting November 13, 2025 at €29,99 / $29.99 / £24.99.
Join the Early Access program to experience the game early, share your feedback, and help the team refine and perfect the experience.
