KUNOS Simulazioni is excited to announce the return of The Real Race, Automobili Lamborghini’s flagship Esports event, once again featuring the acclaimed Assetto Corsa Competizione. This global competition not only highlights the incredible skills of virtual drivers worldwide but also narrows the gap between virtual racing and real-world track experiences. Through Automobili Lamborghini’s comprehensive approach, the aim is to discover and nurture new talent, offering them a pathway into real motorsport through the esteemed Young Driver Program.
Event Highlights and Schedule
This season promises to deliver intense excitement and fierce competition, featuring the Automobili Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 on new and thrilling tracks in Assetto Corsa Competizione. The championship spans three continents, with top competitors engaging in a hybrid format of online and on-site races.
- EU Region: Drivers will kick off with four online rounds, starting with a hot stint competition that leads to race qualifications.
- NALA and APAC Regions: Competitors will participate in a hot stint qualification, culminating in a regional final that showcases the top 24 drivers.
The best performers from each region will advance to the on-site finals at Jerez de la Frontera during the Lamborghini World Finals. Here, the top driver will compete on simulators equipped with MOZA Racing peripherals, join the Lamborghini Esports Team, and participate in the Young Driver Program for the 2025 season, experiencing a real Lamborghini race within the paddock.
Meet the Lamborghini Esports Team
Automobili Lamborghini’s Esports team, featuring renowned talents such as David Tonizza, Dario Iemmulo (winner of the 2023 The Real Race, Super Trofeo Esports), and Daniel Savini, is ready to uphold Lamborghini’s legacy in both virtual and real-life racing. The team also includes Skyler Loverink from the USA and Jyeed Hutchinson from Canada.
Their primary focus this year is the SRO Esports’ Intercontinental GT Esports series, which starts in June and runs through six races until the end of the year.
For the first time, the 2024 Esports team will join their real-world counterparts in Jerez de la Frontera for the Young Driver Program, providing a unique opportunity to showcase their skills on real tracks.
